Confrere Oenophile Title

Our Mr George HADJIKYRIACOS, creator and Managing Director of our company, received the honorary and important title of “Confrere Oenophile” of “Confrerie de Saint Etienne” the most important wine brotherhood of Alsace region in France created in 1561.

This important title is offered to eminent personalities and wine professionals in appreciation for their overall contribution in the wine world and wine culture.

In 2010 only 3 persons were selected for this award.

award2_image2 The president “Grand Master” of the brotherhood, Mr George LORENTZ, addressing the event, said that the brotherhood’s selected Mr Hadjikyriacos for his achievements in promoting the culture of quality wine in Cyprus society. He emphasized the fact that it is extremely rare to find wine professionals that share the passion and enthusiasm which characterise Mr Hadjikyriacos.

The special ceremony took place at the magestic castle “Chateau de Confrerie de Saint Etienne” near the city of Strasbourg in the presence of more than 300 wine personalities from all over the world.

The festive event was completed with a Gala dinner prepared by the famous Chef Thierry SCHWARTZ who astonished everybody with his creativity, imagination and talent. He prepared unique gastronomic creations inspired by the exceptional wines that were enjoyed by the selected guests.
